Julia Ransom is a thriving biathlete and an Olympic hopeful for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Korea. Based in Canmore, Alberta, she is training with the National Biathlon Team at the Biathlon Alberta Training Centre. She made it to the podium at the World Junior Championships and had numerous top 10 results internationally.
Through her dedicated efforts towards her Olympic goals, Julia is inspiring many young women to push their limits and embrace sports. She’s also an active volunteer coach for the Canmore Nordic Biathlon Bears program, and mentors younger biathletes at her home club, Telemark, by running ‘Girl’s Days’, where the girls come together to work on their skiing and shooting technique, learn race strategies and grow a passion for a healthy lifestyle |
